If Franken's presentation weren't questionable enough, he strains his journalistic integrity when he cites internet blogs as legitimate evidence of "voter suppression" during elections of 2002 (Lies, page 363 (paperback, p. 391)). To level such serious implications of racism and then cite the uncorroborated testimony of a blog is hardly up to the standards of any earnest author. And it’s hard to imagine a blog being accepted as a foundational source of fact at – hmm, let’s say – Harvard.
Again ... Is this what Franken means by his "impossibly high standard"?
